Opening hours:

Those days when the library is closed it is possible to make your loan longer by calling from 7 at the morning till 3 o clock afternoon. You can also make the loan longer on our websites in your readers account.

Automatization:

Fully automatizated sice 1999 including all community branches. Elaboration of all library funds in suburban libraries is in progress.

History of automatization:

• Main building (adult readers department, department for children and youngsters, study room, department of purchase and elabaration of libraries funds)
• Library funds exposed on web sites since 1996
• Opava Kateřinky branch (adult readers department, musical department, department for children and youngsters) - service fully automatized sice 1996
• Videostope: Nádražní okruh 27, 746 78 Opava - fully automatized since May 1998
• Opava Kylešovice branch - fully automatized since April 1999
• Olomoucká street branch - fully automatized since May 1999
• Branches in Opava - Komarov, Suché Lazce, Malé Hoštice, Vávrovice a Milostovice were all fully automatized in 2002

Library founder::

Library has been founded by statutal city of Opava on 1st January 1997. There are 3 branches in the area of Opava City and 5 local libraries in suburban villages.
